The Gods of Nature and the Elements are most steadfast of all gods, aside from Ao. As heroes, villains, civilizations, and even entire races come and go, Orben remains fundamentally unchanged. Animals still drink, hunt, and spread disease; plants grow, wind blows, fire smolders, the tides go in and draw out the soil from the land. Druids most serve these gods, but some adventurers, too, and farmers also, not to mention the occasional sailor praying for a strong wind and smooth waters. Unlike most other faiths, those of nature tend to require few vows, eschew formal trappings, build few (or no) temples, establish loose hierarchies, and require no priestly vestments. Such details seem petty and fleeting in the face of the unrelenting—and often uncaring—forces of nature.
