When you avoid injury with an incredible feat of dexterity, the next time you level up you can choose this move: "Artful Dodger" instead of another class move. If you have Artful Dodger, you can take another move from this list when you level up.

 

 

 

 

 

ARTFUL DODGER

When you defy danger using acrobatics, on a 7-9, instead of letting the story-teller say what they normally would, you can choose to dodge the threat but land somewhere you don't want to be. On a 6-, while you still fail - you looked good until it happened!

 

LEAP CHASMS, VAULT WALLS

Requires: Artful Dodger

When you use acrobatics to pass an inanimate obstacle,

roll +DEX. *On a 10+, choose 1. *On a 7-9, choose 2.

• You don't do it quickly or immediately.

• You make a spectacle of yourself.

• You take a path that keeps you from returning to where

you started easily.

• You take a debility or lose something valuable on the

way.

 

DESPERATE STUNT

Requires: Artful Dodger

Free

When you are about to take damage from a source it would be possible to dodge, you can twist away at the last moment. The damage is negated, but you strain your muscles. You take -1 ongoing until you've spent a few hours of uninterrupted rest recovering, or until the strain is otherwise healed. You can't use this move if you already used a similar move to negate damage in an encounter (Get out of Dodge, How Are You Still Alive, Armor Mastery, etc.).

 

HARRIER

Requires: Artful Dodger

When you harass attackers with your acrobatics, you can defend with DEX instead of CON, and the following is added to your list of options when you spend hold:

• Move the attacker to a position that's better for you.

 

ACROBATIC ATTACK

Free

Requires: Artful Dodger

Through advanced movement, you get yourself into a position for a powerful blow.  Impose the Vulnerable status on a target of your choice.
